Our first show for the season is done & dusted. The jockeys and ponies were incredibly consistent and had a great weekend. Had Bella, Gem, Jasper, Potter & Tommy on board.
Jasper had a 4 fault round (a rider error run out) in the 1.20 and 12 faults in the Grand Prix on Sunday to finish 4th. Very pleased with this effort!
Korah had some challenges aboard Potter this weekend. They did a very controlled practice round, had control issues in the under 12 equitation on Saturday but finished with a nice round, on Saturday, in the 80cm Cat C class and then a beaut round in the under 12 equitation on Sunday. This combination just needs practice!
Tommy had 4 faults in the 90cm, double clear in the 1m and 4 faults in the 95cm. Bayly rides this horse so well!
Gem has started the season off so well. She had 4 faults (a rail) in the 90cm, then a double clear round in the 1m and 95cm. Lots of motorbike riders in these classes this weekend so no prizes for Gem (very unusual for her but far rather she did great corners to get good jump off times that gallop around to pick up a prize).
Bella was a gem and did some lovely rounds. Very tough competition with 20 ponies in the Cat B showhunters this weekend. No placings but Korah rode Bella calmly and well.
