Nice relaxing weekend with early finishes. Covid-19 had hit the committee of the Manawatu A&P so they decided not to hold any of the showjumping series classes so horse entries in particular were very low. Pony entries held their own and there were some very good combinations entered.
Jasper came to the party again this weekend after 2 weeks of silly antics! He placed 2nd in the 1:10 AM5 & was 4th in the 1:10 championship.
Gem was again a star. We entered her in the 1:10 championship and she did a double clear to place 6th and she placed 6th in the 1.05 class.
Those showhunter classes were as frustrating as ever. Korah & Bella did a great round in the 60cm but was beaten by ponies who had refusals. They did place 4th in the 70cm showhunter. In the showjumping they had an oops at the first fence and then cantered round clear on the Saturday & on Sunday went clear in the 70cm A2 for a 7th placing.
We were super stoked for Bayly & Ellie who placed 2nd in the 1m A2 on Sunday after having a Saturday that was not one to report on.
Bayly & Blondie jumped 80 & 90cm but with no placings. Not sure that Blondie really enjoys jumping on the crusher lime.
