Horse Of The Year 2020

Just Jasper & Ellie on board. Jasper jumped in the 1:10 class instead of the equitation class on the Tuesday, while Ellie went in the equitation class.

Bayly & Ellie had a clear round, however never got a call back.

Sally & Jasper had 4 faults in the first round of the 1:10.

Went back up on the Friday for the girls rider championship classes.

Bayly & Ellie jumped in the 12 years & under at 1m, having a rail in the first round.

Sally & Jasper jumped in the 13-16 age class at 1:10 & had the first rail in the first round.

We then stayed on the grounds to ride for Hawkes Bay Pony Club in the teams event on the Saturday (Anna Wilson had broken her leg & Sally was called up as the reserve). Jasper went clear in the first round at 1:05 & 4 faults in the 2nd round at 1:10 (best performing pony).  The team went on to place 5th=. (Our first HOY ribbon)

We then decided to stay on for the 1:15 championship on the Sunday (was not planned) but ended up being such a good idea!  Jasper jumped his heart out and Sally rode, making Jasper jump! Finished up 2nd!!!

Was super stoked with how well the girls and their ponies performed. Sally's 2nd HOY and 2 ribbons, moved up the heights to 1:10 & 1:15. Bayly's first HOY show.  Bayly was very very nervous competing but performed so creditable!! Bring on 2020/2021 season.

The remaining season has been cut short now because of Coronvirus and the isolation lockdown imposed by the government to stop the spread of Covid 19.
