Masterton Showjumping

Great weather & great weekend for the ponies this weekend. Jasper, Potter and Briggs really came to the party this weekend.

Jasper won 2 of his 3 classes and 4th in the other with Korah. He won the 1:20 with a clear jump off and the 1:15 with the only clear round.

Briggs jumped three double clear rounds this weekend. He was 7th in the 1:05 and the 1:10 on Saturday and 4th in the 1:10 on Sunday. 

Maggie was consistently good again, jumping 1:15 on Saturday.  She was 7th on Sunday in the 1:20.

Toot had an unusually off weekend. Sally fell from him on Saturday and on Sunday he had two rails. 

Bayly was very brave on Max having her first start at 1:10 on him after falling off him in the 1:05 on Saturday. He had 8 faults on Saturday and just 4 faults on Sunday. 

Potter was good. He had 4 faults in the 1:10 speed class and won the 1m class on Saturday and 5th in the 1:10 on Sunday after a stop in the double. 

Feilding February Show

 Feilding IA&P February Show. Everyone on board this weekend although Korah only rode on Saturday as she had netball practice on Sunday when Potter's classes were on. 

Jasper was good again this weekend. He was 4th in the 1:10 (4 faults) and 2nd in the 1:20 on Saturday with 4 faults. He was 2nd in the 1:20 on Sunday with 2 rider rails and a slack rail. 

Brigs won the 1m on Saturday and just had 4 faults in the 1:05. He was 5th on Sunday in the 1m with 4 faults in the jumpoff and 6th in the 1:05 on a double clear round.

Maggie found it very tough indoors at Feilding, she was much happier outdoors taking just one rail on Sunday at the last in the 1:15 for 9th. Maggie had 5 rails in the 1:15, and 6 rails in the Junior Rider (both classes indoors). 

Toot was also good this weekend. He won the 1:10 on Saturday and had just 4 faults on Sunday.

Max had 4 faults in the 1m class, and then 3 rails in the 1:05 class on Saturday and was 4th on Sunday in the 1:05 class. 

Tommy was onboard but had an uncharacteristic bad weekend. When we got him home we found he was lame.

Dannevirke A&P Show

We had a great weekend. Equines all jumped well even in the feral weather on Saturday. Sunday was a beauty day.

Jasper was back on form this weekend. We placed 4th in the 1:15 speed class on Saturday and won the 1:10 speed class on Sunday. He even turned his hand to the round the ring this weekend and although he didn't place he skipped around the ring well. 

Maggie was super on Saturday going clear in the 1:15 and just 4 faults in the 1:20. She was disappointing in the Junior Rider on Sunday having 4 rails.

                                               

Toot was a star winning the 1:10 instant jump off on Saturday, 3rd in the round the ring and 2 rails in the 1:10 on Sunday.

Briggs was good again this weekend. Clear round in the 90cm, 4 faults in the both the 1m on Saturday and 1:05 on Sunday. Pleased with his efforts.

Tommy had an 8 fault weekend, although Bayly jumped the last wrong jump in the 1:05 on Sunday (to be eliminated). He had 8 faults in both his 1:10 classes.

Max was clear in the 90cm, four faults in the 1m and 8 faults in the 1:05. 

Potter had 4 faults in the 1:05 & 1:10 on Saturday and then Korah was back just in time for the 1:10 on Sunday (having been at netball training) only to fall off at the 7th jump. They had a miscommunication about when to take off.
