Dannevirke High School Interschool

Jasper, Tommy, Gem & Blondie headed down to the showgrounds to compete in the DHS interschool today. During the night it had rained heavily but stayed away during the day.

Gem won the Table C class

Tommy was clear in the 1:05 AM5 but had a rail in the jump-off

Jasper won the 1:05 AM5

Blondie won the 70cm Table C

Clareville Classic Jumping

 We had 5 onboard this weekend, Blondie, Gem, Jasper, Bella & Tommy, no Sunny (no showhunters). We had a very successful weekend!

Blondie picked up a clear round ribbon on Saturday and was 4th in the 85cm 2 phase  on Sunday

Gem picked up a clear round ribbon in the 90cm on Saturday and was 2nd in the 95cm 2 phase on Sunday

Tommy had 4 faults in the 1m & 1:05 on Saturday and was 4th in the 1m 2 phase on Sunday

Korah and Bella picked up a clear round ribbon on Saturday in the 80cm and then were clear in their first 85cm on Sunday.

Jasper had 4 faults in the jump-off, with the fastest time, in the 1:15 on Saturday.

He backed up his great performance from Saturday winning the 1:15-1:20 pony class on Sunday.

Hawkes Bay Jumping Show

Just Jasper on board this weekend (classes started at 1:10). We went up Friday night, competed in the 1:20 & 1:10 & came home on the Saturday afternoon.  Jasper had 8 faults in the 1:20, jumped well & had the first rail in the 1:10 (little bugger!)

X-country Practice Day - Arran Station

Well we should have been representing Hawkes Bay Pony Club in the Nations Cup Pony Club teams event today at HOY but instead (because of Covid forcing the cancellation of HOY) we took full advantage of the Central & Southern Hawkes Bay Eventing Groups practice day at Arran Station. We had a pony club rally there. The ponies really enjoyed the change of scenery & discipline & the jockey's warmed into the task.
