Masterton Jumping Show

All on board again this weekend. Was a shock to move back into Covid Level 2 on the Sunday morning but management decided to continue with the show. 

Blondie picked 2 clear round ribbons on the Saturday & was 2nd in the 80cm on the Sunday. She jumped really well. 

Tommy was a star yet again, jumping 1m & 1:05, both in ring 2, on the Saturday and won the 1m speed class on Sunday.

Sunny was 3rd in the Cat A high points show hunter.

Bella picked up 2 clear round ribbons on Saturday & had a rail in the combination on the Sunday. 

Jasper would have won the 1:15 speed class on the Saturday except for a rail at the last combination. He was 2nd in the mini prix on Sunday. He jumped super. 

Sally didn't ride Gem that well. She struggle to find a stride for her to take off on. 

Feilding IA&P February Jumping Show

 No Sunny this weekend so just five equines on board, Blondie, Bella, Tommy, Gem & Jasper. 

Blondie picked up a 4th in the 80cm and had a rail in the 90cm.

Gem jumped well but had a 4 fault show. Jumped the 1:10 on Sunday for 4 faults also.

Bella did both show hunters and show jumping this weekend. 

Jasper didn't produce a clear round this weekend but still jumped well. His three classes were all inside and he picked up a 3rd in the 1:20 on Sunday,

Tommy stepped up to 1:05 this weekend. Bayly was a little nervous but they both nailed it!

St Matthews Inter-School Competition

Bayly & Sally headed off early with Nigel & Nanny to Masterton for the St Matthews Interschool Competition, with Tommy, Gem & Jasper on board.  We went back into Level 2 Covid on the Sunday evening but the event went ahead. The Wairarapa parents kindly dropped off their children & didn't stay to watch so the event could continue with 100 people on the grounds. They rode for DHS & all jumped 1m. The team (with Kasey McKenna) finished 2nd behind Wairarapa Collegiate. 

Bayly, Sally & Kasey McKenna finished 2nd as a team.

Jasper was 2nd in the Power & Speed & the Table C & had a rail in the AM5.

Gem was 11th in the Table C, 6th in the AM5 & 7th in the Power & Speed.

Tommy was 12th in the Power & Speed, 8th in the AM5 & 18th the Table C

Dannevirke A&P Show

 Was a very busy weekend (often is for our local). The girls rode well and the ponies went well. We are looking forward to having next weekend off.

Sunny picked up a 2nd & a 4th in the show hunters - (Cat A)

Gem picked up a 4th in the 1:05 and jumped in the 1:10 (not a spectacular round but pleased enough with her)

Jasper & Sally picked up a 4th in the 1:15 and jumped a super round in the pony grand prix, having 3 rails.

Korah & Bella jumped 70cm & 80cm again for consistently clear rounds. Had a couple of stirrup issues this weekend but still pleased with their performances.

Bayly & Tommy were a gain consistent. They picked up a 4th in the 90cm on Friday & then jumped 90cm & 1m for the remainder of the weekend.
